EF Core Review
Review EF Core queries, relationships, and migrations for performance and correctness.
When to use it
Use this to review EF Core loading behavior, query count, and consistency risks in a query or data model.
Useful inputs
- LINQ query or entity model
- Data volume
- EF Core and database provider versions
Instruction
Review tracking, indexes, loading, transactions, and SQLite compatibility. Connect N+1 and data-loss risks to evidence.
Example input
Query: [LINQ loading blogs and posts]. Data: About 30 posts per blog. Provider: SQL Server. Compare single and split query options.
Example result
A single query can fetch data with JOINs but may multiply rows across collections. A split query sends multiple SQL statements and can reduce duplication. Measure query count, transferred rows, and consistency needs for both.
Common pitfall
Do not make definitive performance claims without considering the provider and actual query plan.
